I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters and have been married to David an accomplished artist for 42 years now. I think we were all born to personally connect with God our Creator. Through much pain doing things my way, I found a 12 Step Program in the early 80’s which eventually led me to a personal relationship with God and to a deep search for Him. I wasn’t at the time looking for God in church, since the harsh God I was familiar with after 12 years of Nun schools in France was not a good, kind or loving God. I eventually got filled with His Spirit. God has been the strength of my heart and I really think I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for his mercy, unconditional love and faithfulness.
I love how a heart gets woven over the years. We all learn from our life experiences, whether we fight what is happening at the time or not. It’s not always a pretty picture! There is a time when pain just gets buried deep and in order for our body, spirit and emotions to get healed all these hidden and painful things need to surface and get into the light.
This blog was born to reveal the depth of the human heart. I hope you will enjoy the many life stories that will surface as this work in progress takes place, one step at a time.
“Our worst fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?” Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God; your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone and as we let our light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.” Nelson Mandela
“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
